This spring El Consorci de L’Estany has released 70 copies of the galápagoeuropeo bred in captivity in order to recover this endangered species in the river Ter.
In the framework of the European LIFE Potamia Fauna "Conservation of river faunaof European interest in the Natura 2000 network of basins Ter and Muga",Wednesday May 6 was conducted strengthening turtle population tin (Emysorbicularis) river Ter releasing several specimens bred in captivity in the area ofHuertas Santa Eugenia de Girona. The ceremony involved a group of 20 students from 1st ESO Institute of Santa Eugenia that they are studying vertebrates and had previously made a visit to the Centre for the Albera Tortoise Breeding (CRT)Garriguella.
